Who can participate in the Talent Show?

The Talent Show is open to children aged 5 to 16 years old who are Dubai Holding community residents and currently residing in the respective community.

What kind of talents can be showcased?

Singing, dancing, musical instruments and other family-friendly talents are welcome.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Performers must be between 5 and 16 years old.

How do I apply/register?

3 simple steps!
1. Submit an audition video showcasing your child’s talent online.
2. Shortlisted performers will be selected by our panel of judges.
3. Selected performers will take centre stage and perform live in front of the community.

Can bands or groups register?

Yes. Bands or groups may only register under the Band/Music category. At least one member of the band or group must be a Dubai Holding Community resident currently residing within the respective community, and the registration must be submitted by that eligible resident.

Is there a participation fee?

No, participation is completely free.

How long can each performance be?

Each live performance should be between 2-5 minutes to allow time for all selected performers to participate.

Will there be judges or is it just for fun?

Yes. A panel of judges will evaluate the performances based on the Talent Show judging criteria.

Are there prizes?

Absolutely! Winners will receive trophies, community recognition, and prizes across all three categories (Singing, Music & Dance), with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded in each category. Full prize details will be revealed at the event

What should participants bring?

Bring any instruments, props, or costumes required for your act. Microphones, basic sound equipment, and a stage will be provided. Any additional equipment or technical requirements should be shared in advance and may be subject to approval.

Can families and friends attend as audience?

Absolutely! We encourage everyone to come and cheer for their neighbours.

Can non-residents participate?

No. Participation is limited to residents who currently live within a participating Dubai Holding Community. Eligibility may be verified during registration.

Can a participant register in more than one category?

Participants may register for one category only. This helps ensure a fair selection process and allows more residents the opportunity to participate.

Can siblings or friends perform together?

Yes, siblings or friends may perform together where suitable for the selected category. For group performances, at least one registered performer must be a Dubai Holding Community resident currently living within the respective community. Bands or music groups must register under the Band/Music category.

What should be included in the audition video?

The audition video should clearly show the performer’s talent and should be family-friendly, appropriate for all ages, and within the required time limit.

Is pre-selection required before performing live?

Yes. Registered participants will be shortlisted by the judging panel before being invited to perform live at the Talent Show.

How will selected participants be informed?

Shortlisted participants will be contacted using the details provided during registration.

Can parents or guardians help children during the performance?

Parents or guardians may assist with setup where required, but the performance should be led by the registered participant.

Are costumes, props, or instruments allowed?

Yes, provided they are safe, appropriate, and suitable for a family-friendly community event.

Will backing tracks or music be allowed?

Yes. Participants may use backing tracks or accompanying music, subject to advance submission and technical approval. Participants are responsible for providing their required audio files in the specified format and by the stated deadline.

What happens if a participant is late or cannot attend?

Participants must arrive at the time communicated by the organisers. Late arrivals or no-shows may result in the participant losing their performance slot.

Will photos or videos be taken during the event?

Yes, event photography and videography may take place for community communication and promotional purposes.

Can the organisers reject a registration?

Yes. The organisers reserve the right to reject or remove entries that do not meet the eligibility, category, safety, technical, or family-friendly requirements.
